Singapore Accountant-General's Department Full time

What the role is: You will join AGD's Finance Transformation – Ministries Directorate which spearheads and implements projects related to the Government Financial System and its related processes. For this role, you will get to shape the future of the procure-to-pay processes within Government and gain a strategic overview of Government's financial and procurement operations and its interdependencies with adjacent key processes and systems, You will also gain an appreciation of the interaction between operations and technology, and exercise judgement in managing trade-offs to achieve an effective system design to support users' needs. What you will be working on: Specifically, you will: Participate in the redesigning of procure-to-pay workflow, which has large scale impact on different systems across many government agencies. Be involved in the ideation and subsequent implementation of the new processes in the system. Work with different stakeholders to determine and implement the "to-be" state of the new processes to affected systems. What we are looking for: Functional and Technical Competencies Tertiary Education in Accounting or Finance, Business, Finance, IT, Systems or related disciplines Knowledge in financial and/or procurement software is a plus CA Singapore certification is a plus Generic Competencies Strong problem-solving and critical thinking ability Self‐driven and highly motivated team player with strong communication, stakeholder management, writing, and presentation skills Ability to work in a fast‐paced and dynamic environment Meticulous with keen eye for detail Has interest in operations‐technology work Good interpersonal skills You will be notified whether you have been shortlisted within 4 weeks from the closing date of this job posting.
