The regional consumer research manager is responsible to deliver all market intelligence and build compelling analysis to support the business and the decision-making process across the organization to drive growth based on market data findings and insights for Glico APAC.

This position provides leadership and expertise to define & implement all market reporting/ dashboards / consolidations requirements to monitor Glico’s performance in market and cross fertilize all available data and market knowledge (including panels, syndicated, competitive, consumer, sales etc) to generate strong consumer insights to identify avenues for optimization, new opportunities and drive growth of Glico APAC.

This position influence and impacts on Glico APAC’s corporate level strategy, enable business model transformation and drive digital innovation at insight. This role requires a person with great balance of analytical and creative bent who is able to lead and enjoy the culture of consumer centric business growth.

**Key roles and responsibilities**:

- Drive the consumer insights agenda for the Glico’s existing & future brands in order to inform innovation strategy, branding and go to market planning
- Cross fertilize all available data and market knowledge to generate market insights, identify opportunities and drive growth
- Lead for multiple countries & multiple categories to scale up regional foresight while ensuring bottom-up and top-down intelligence
- Develop and implement key learning plans to inform annual budget planning & mid term growth strategy
- Communicate strategy and analytic results in an actionable and non-technical manner to multi functional teams and
- Lead insights work to fully understand trends, consumer attitudes and behaviors, key functional and emotional requirements, consumption occasions, shopper needs, and translate those learnings into insights to be used as foundations for brand positioning, messaging, line extensions, etc.
- Identify and manage external partners and third parties to maximize learning and value from projects. This entails actively engaging and leveraging partner intellectual horsepower, providing feedback for continual improved performance, and negotiating of contracts.

- functional teams such as R&D, sales etc

**Qualifications and experiences requirements**:

- 7+ years of progressive business experience in market research, business analytics, data-driven decision making
- 4+ years of experience working in a fast-moving consumer goods company and/or tech company and/or market research agencies with track record of working in multiple marketing data and consumer insight focused projects
- Experience leading both quantitative and qualitative research methods including techniques such as U&A, Bases, pricing, ethonography, IDI etc.
- Experience to work for internal stakeholders and external parnters (agencies) collaboration.
- Demonstrate effective team and project management including setting appropriate action standards, selecting and guiding suppliers, managing within budget and schedule constraints, and, delivering actionable results with globally scalable solutions
- Excellent communicator with ability to distill complex issues into clear, concise communications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience analyzing large amounts of data. Expertise with syndicated tools: Nielsen, panel data etc including syndicated analysis as well as advanced analytics
- Function as a key business partner to understand business needs and operationalize into analytical projects
- Proficient with research tools and techniques to support both base business growth as well as innovation identification and development; both qualitative and quantitative
- Ability to tell a story with data, comfortable presenting to senior leadership, focusing on representing the voice of the consumer for the Glico organization
- Strong analytical skills; proficient in statistics, experimental design, survey creation and analysis, qualitative research
- Ability to plan digital transformation, with in-depth research on digital transformation trends and methods and familiar with relevant cases
- Ability to work effectively with multiple teams and proven ability to build effective partnerships with internal marketing and sales teams
- Ability to lead and manage many projects at one time with willingness to roll up your sleeves to make it happen
