Blackbox is looking for a Senior Research Manager to join the Business Design team.
This is an exciting development opportunity for an ambitious and confident catalyst or researcher to partner with senior decision-makers in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced company for evolving clients, blending decision science, brand and strategy builds a valuable connection between our clients’ needs and Blackbox’s core capabilities.
Working closely with the Head, Business Design you will acquire an invaluable understanding of business strategy and commercial acumen, you are accountable for clientele’s strategic goals and support to achieve their desired outcomes aligned with the team’s financial KPIs (revenue and margin commitment) and will be expected to:
- Build business in mixed-method research, including identifying opportunities, fostering strategic business relationships, and responding successfully to research briefs
- Develop and elevate as a trusted adviser to both clients and internal stakeholders across all business units to foster client-focused approaches
- Provide expert advice and proposal writing throughout the pitching process
- Ensure proposals are manageable for the business to onboard
- Proactively seek new methodologies, tools, and innovations to deliver client solutions in different ways
- Proactively enhance the commercial strategy, by collaborating with other departments
- Ensure that the Customer is put at the heart of proposal development
- Consolidating past successes and case studies to showcase our track records
- Provide strategic insights based on Salesforce data that supports the delivery teams in anticipating and executing commissioned projects and guide business strategy
**Critical Technical, Professional and Personal Capabilities**
- Degree in Marketing Science, Communications, Research / Social Sciences, Brand Planning or Business
- 5-8 years of progressive commercial experience in research consulting, marketing, account management, and/or brand
- Energetic, motivated, and capable of building relationships internally and with stakeholders
- Have a track record of willingness to learn business development with clients and the ability to drive business within a team.
- _It is essential that you have a proven track record of interpreting and responding to client briefs, ideally in market research or demonstrate a willingness to learn. Prior research agency experience and the ability to showcase examples of your skills in interpreting ambiguous briefs, writing proposals and pitching will be an advantage._
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $4,500.00 - $6,500.00 per month
