As a Consumer & Marketplace Insights Manager, you will be responsible for driving consumer and category insights while identifying white space opportunities across regional and market teams. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring comprehensive understanding of consumer needs in the organisation, thereby future-proofing our strategy and supporting effective brand building and decision-making both now and in the future. This position shapes brand strategy, including brand innovation, communication and media planning, pricing, and packaging. You will collaborate with the Regional Brand Leads and the Marketing Leadership Team to enhance brand equity, stimulate consumer demand, and achieve market share growth. You will deliver and integrate global best practices in consumer insights within the marketing leadership community across the Asia, Oceania and Africa region. Responsibilities Drive Comprehensive Consumer Understanding: Lead initiatives to deeply understand consumer needs in collaboration with brand builders. Continuously generate insights and implement actions across regional and market teams. Develop consumer segmentation, identify target consumers, create consumer portraits, and derive core insights that drive satisfaction and demand. Lead Foundational Research Programs: Oversee the regional foundational research program to deliver critical insights and consumer empathy, including segmentation, brand health tracking, consumer trends, usage and attitudes studies. Monitor External Trends: Scan the external environment to identify and assess emerging consumer trends and innovative thinking. Leverage these insights to build competitive advantages and innovation opportunities across the portfolio and regional markets. Enhance Consumer and Shopper Insights: Provide expertise across brand building fundamentals, including engaging brand experiences, guiding brand essence and properties, winning with shoppers, executing plans, innovating, and delivering product and packaging excellence. Develop CMI Methodologies and Tools: Refine and apply innovative research tools and methodologies to enhance consumer understanding for the region, markets, and stakeholders. Ensure Effective Research Standards: Implement and uphold methodologies, guidelines, and standards across projects. Manage agency partnerships to ensure alignment with objectives and deliver actionable recommendations. Synthesize Consumer Knowledge: Enhance consumer knowledge and synthesize insights to inform brand and business strategies and drive marketplace success. What Will Make You Successful University Degree (or equivalent) in Marketing or Business 8+ years' experience in market research at Nestlé or equivalent FMCG and/or strategic planning at a Communication Agency. FMCG experience essential Expertise in CMI methodologies applied to product innovation, packaging and creative/media communication Experience in leading and managing teams and external agency partners Regional or multi-market experience is essential Petcare category experience preferred Position Details Seniority level: Associate Employment type: Full-time Job function: Consumer & Marketplace Insights Industry: Food and Beverage Services We're unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
