In this role, the Instructional Designer is expected to be an active contributor to the learning design of the competency-based programmes in SIT, ensuring that the learning experiences are aligned with the needs of the programme and eventually leading to the success of the students within the programmes.
The Instructional Designer will be part of the team in the Academy and will report to the Assistant Provost (Applied Learning).
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop online learning contents that are bite-sized, interactive, and effective for learning.
- Design and execute high quality learning experiences in the competency-based programmes across varied modalities, that are aligned with the programme needs.
- Recommend appropriate learning tools, technologies and environments within the programme design to support the learning experience.
- Manage timelines to ensure appropriate implementation of the programmes.
- Incorporate data gathering and feedback analysis to ensure appropriate learning experience for the students and continuously improve the design of the programme.
- Manage projects that involve vendors producing digital content.
- Check and provide feedback to on vendor for the quality of digital content.
- Other related responsibilities that will support the objective of the role.
**Job Requirements**
- Proficient and familiar with learning tools and technologies
- Preferably experience in designing and implementing high quality competency-based programmes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with various programme / module leads.
- Good listening skills and open to varied perspectives.
- Advanced skills in planning, organising and managing self & others.
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
- Ability to navigate quickly through an evolving environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, while maintaining quality standards.
- Master’s degree in learning/instructional design or educational technology.
- Experience in course design or curriculum development specific to competency-based education programmes.
- Experience with designing assessment methods/practices.
- Experience in producing digital content for learning.
