**Role / Scope**:

- We are looking for a Tech Lead for one of the key advertisement product (TDA) where you will use your expertise in system design, development best practices, and problem-solving skills to help the rapid development of priority features.
- We are looking for someone who have a deep technological expertise, team leading, and software development background.
- Marketing and advertising plays very important role in Rakuten Eco-system. As a software engineer of Global Ad Technology Department, your mission is to provide software solutions to enable various marketing activities and boosting up/add value to entire Rakuten Eco-system.
- Your colleagues are responsible for creating and maintaining marketing / advertisement products for various regions, such as Japan, Taiwan, and US. Your assignment will be in the engineering team serving for Japan advertisement business.
- Team is also collaborating with Singapore, China, Japan & India members to manage both developments and operations. This means day-to-day tasks requires requirements analysis, architecture design, dev specs writing, coding, testing, and production support as well. In this cross border dynamic circumstances and wide range of responsibilities, you are expected to show good communication skills, strong ownership, self-organized attitude to build up cross border teamwork culture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assigned to software development projects and/or system enhancements as a Tech Lead.
- Be engaged in the entire SDLC of the product.
- Provide full-stack expertise to the software development team and establish best practices on code quality & performance.
- Lead and mentor the engineers to deliver high quality code.
- Collaborate with engineers, product manager, scrum master, and business members across multiple teams to develop great features.
- Build confidence in rapid project delivery through automated testing, continuous integration, monitoring, and analytics.
- Provide architecture-level and code-level feedback to the engineers.
- Lead technical decision making, tech initiatives, and system operations.

**Qualifications**:
**Must-Have**:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or IT related field
- Strong knowledge and experience of designing RESTful APIs.
- Experience of collaborating with distributed teams to deliver end-to-end quality features on-time.
- Experience of doing system operations in linux.
- Experience of mentoring juniors or leading a team.

**Good-To-Have**:

- Smooth communication skills with tech/non-tech people in Japanese
- Experience of working with remote team members
- Experience of Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Public Cloud
- Domain knowledge of internet advertising, advertisement system architecture, and advertisement KPIs

**Salary**: $8,000.00 - $15,000.00 per month
