Purpose
- Support profitable growth and strategic development of Evonik in Asia Pacific
- Lead and coordinate Regional Development Team and resources across SEAANZ
- Identify, explore & develop new growth opportunities in alignment with Businesses and Functions
- Monitor macroeconomic and market trends and derive opportunities and risks
- Enrich global business strategies by local perspective and support tailored implementation
- Support Businesses and Functions in market analyses and strategic projects (incl. M&A)
- As member of SEAANZ Management Team provide key information & ideas to AP top management

Core Tasks

The Head Regional Development SEAANZ handles a broad and versatile spectrum of tasks, that flexibly needs to adapt to current requirements in Evonik and the local market. This includes for example:

- Support local Management, Divisions, and AP-RD Head in the development of the Cluster and Region
- Participate and contribute as member in the Cluster Management Team and AP-RD Management Team
- Steer and coordinate Regional Development resources in Cluster in alignment with AP-RD Head
- Drive people development: recruit for talent, coach & develop team on-the-job, and foster job rotations
- Identify new business opportunities; propose and help develop portfolio of growth topics (incl. M&A)
- Lead, drive, or support projects of BLs, Divisions, Region, or Group in Cluster and Region
- Drive and coordinate selected activities as topic head (primus inter pares) across AP-RD Clusters
- Initiate, facilitate and support cross-BL/Division, resp. cross-functional activities
- Liaise and coordinate with key stakeholders in Cluster and Region, inside and outside of Evonik
- Ensure alignment with Businesses and Functions to prioritize resources and maximize impact
- Monitor macroeconomic and market trends, competitive landscape and socio/geo-political environment
- Identify key impact for Evonik early on, provide input from critical analysis, and derive strategic scenarios
- Support advocacy approach, help build-up and maintain Evonik network with strategic stakeholders
