**[What the role is]**

The Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) is Singapore’s national authority on the weather and climate. The International Relations & Outreach Department (IROD) manages the international cooperation and engages the public through outreach and publicity efforts.

You will be part of the team in IROD, working in close partnership with other divisions within MSS and the National Environment Agency to drive the publicity/marketing, communications, and event management efforts of MSS, as well as manage public feedback on MSS-related matters.

**[What you will be working on]**

Broadly, you will be responsible for the following areas:

- Initiate and manage MSS’ public communications initiatives aimed at educating members of the public about the work of MSS
- Support the coordination of local, regional, and international events e.g., school visits and regional/ international events hosted by MSS
- Support MSS divisions on the production of publications such as newsletters
- Work with the divisions in MSS to generate multimedia content intended for various online platforms e.g., social media
- Ensuring a coherent and consistent communications effort within MSS
- Manage the public feedback channels for MSS and ensure the provision of timely responses to queries and feedback

**[What we are looking for]**
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience in marketing communications, engagement, and event management
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an eye for detail
- Strong management and organisational skills
- Able to multi-task well and possesses a sense of urgency
- Commitment to a high standard of service delivery
