Team Head of Relationship Management, Southeast Asia, Private Bank

Our client is an international banking group with a strong balance sheet and branches in financial hubs such as New York, London and Hong Kong. They are expanding their footprint in Singapore, and as part of their expansion plan, they are looking for a Team Head and a select group of seasoned Relationship Managers to join their new Singapore branch as pioneer members.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the business in the region, work with sophisticated clients, and help them navigate their wealth management needs across multiple jurisdictions.
Our client is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Team Head with extensive experience in private banking. The Team Head will lead a cluster of 2-3 experienced Relationship Managers, each with a solid portfolio of clients, primarily covering Southeast Asia markets. The client base includes high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), External Asset Managers (EAMs), and Single Family Offices (SFOs).
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage a cluster of 2-3 Relationship Managers, ensuring strong team collaboration and achieving business growth targets.
- Oversee and drive client acquisition and retention strategies, focusing on Southeast market.
- Manage and expand an existing client portfolio, providing tailored wealth management solutions.
- Deliver exceptional client service and foster long-term relationships with HNWIs and UHNWIs, many of whom have strong financial positions and international interests.
- Work with clients who have global branches and cross-border financial needs, ensuring seamless wealth management across key markets (Greater China, New York, London).
- Collaborate with internal teams to offer holistic financial solutions across multi asset classes, including investments, wealth planning, and banking services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
**Requirements**:
- Proven track record in private banking with significant experience managing HNWIs/UHNWIs in Southeast or North Asia markets.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and building a team of relationship managers.
- Solid client portfolio with the ability to transfer and grow existing relationships.
- Deep understanding of wealth management products and services.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, and driven to achieve results.
- Ability to navigate complex financial situations and provide innovative solutions.
