DESIGNATION : Manager (Software Engineering Programme), SCIS

RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS)
- Marketing and outreach initiatives for the new B.Sc.(Software Engineering) degree programme
- Work with SE Programme Director, SCIS Head of Education Outreach and SCIS Assistant Dean to come up with, and execute a marketing plan for the SE programme to reach the target audience
- Work with IITS animation team to come up with animation video for Open House marketing
- Provide support for outreach and yield-related activities (e.g. computing workshops, enrichment classes, etc.), such as liaising with faculty, instructors, staff and students including overseeing logistics requirements
- Liaise with OAFA, polytechnics and junior colleges on advanced placement programme
- Liaise with SMU/SCIS Digital Media team to review SE collaterals and website information
- Participate in events such as roadshows, education expos, and information sessions to reach prospective students
- Provide back-up admin/logistics support for other SCIS outreach activities
- Administrative, academic and student support for the SE programme
- Work with SE Programme Director and SCIS undergraduate support team to provide support on SE curriculum and academic matters (e.g. curriculum changes, course offering, class/exam timetable, handbook, exemptions, etc.)
- Assist to maintain undergrad mailbox and address SE student queries promptly
- Provide back-up admin support for SCIS undergraduate team
- Manage industry relations/MOU
- Work closely with SE Programme Director to source for local and overseas industry partners for apprenticeships, work-study and alumni employment opportunities
- Plan and execute MOUs with anchor partner companies with SCIS for the SE apprenticeship programme.
- Coordinate with DKHMCC on apprenticeship arrangements for SE students

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree with approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Formally trained in marketing, and with some academic background in the IT/software/engineering domains
- Very strong customer service skills, able to take initiative and possess strong follow-through skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, organized, able to work independently or in a team to meet tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders and projects concurrently.
- Able to perform under stress, reliable, and resourceful.
- Strong work ethic, able to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential issues.
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- A good team player
