DESIGNATION : Research Scientist (1-year contract), SCIS
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data preparation using standard pipelines
- Coding the theoretical quantum models for rare event modelling
- Benchmarking quantum models to classical counterparts
- Writing academic papers on the results
- Liaising with academic and industrial partners
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum PhD degree in Computer Science with experience in quantum computing from an institution of higher learning
- Minimum 3 years of relevant research experience in quantum computing
- Strong proficiency in programming Python and a quantum language such as Qiskit is required
- Demonstrated experience and know-how on quantum computing
- Excellent working knowledge of quantum simulators and NISQ devices
- Good analytical, technical and problem solving skills
- Applicants with research publications in the area of quantum computing will be advantageous
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members
