Fab Quality Director

**About GlobalFoundries**:
**Summary of Role**

The FAB QA Director is responsible for the execution of all Quality Processes in the FAB, leading an organization of several quality roles. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of FABs Quality and has a dotted-line reporting to the FAB General Manager.

**Job Purpose**
- Lead and develop the FAB Quality organization to exceed internal and external stakeholders’ needs.
- Ensure compliance with all quality operation systems in the FAB.
- Oversee Manufacturing Quality Improvement projects to exceed GlobalFoundries’ prevention goals.
- Consistently exceed customer expectations in automotive and other markets

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Manage the FAB QA department budget and allocate resources effectively.
- Mentor and lead a team of quality professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Responsible for Incoming and Outgoing Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Customer Quality, and QMS.
- Set quality goals, track and drive performance indicators for the FAB.
- Report on quality performance, provide insights to upper management, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Drive improvement prevention activities in the FAB to exceed quality goals.
- Lead FAB teams to effective corrective and preventive actions on all internal and external quality issues.
- Own the customer quality satisfaction indices (RMA, CAR, Rating).
- Implement and maintain quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Enforce compliance with ISO/IATF Quality operating systems.
- Control process change requests.
- Provide excellent 24x7 operational support to the FAB operation.
- Promote cross-FAB quality knowledge and best-known methods sharing.
- Engage as a member of the FAB leadership team and the Quality leadership team.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years at the managerial level.
- Experience in managing a quality group in a large manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good presentation and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of ISO/IATF quality systems, SPC, and quality concepts.
- Good knowledge of wafer fabrication and integration processes.
- Experience with advanced quality management techniques and tools.
- Proven track record of driving quality improvements in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated excellent analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
