- Fab 10 MFG Production Shift Technologist Job Description As a MFG Production Shift Technologist, you will assist Shift Mfg Engineer to plan and execute daily manufacturing operations that line up with tactical line direction to achieve quality output goals. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and maximizing constraint tools utilization and optimizing WIP Scheduling to meet tactical shift targets. You will need to troubleshoot and release blocked or hold WIP, AMHS delivery delay, prevent Queue time breach, and work with Shift Mfg Technician to prioritize Tools releases and prepare Non Production Wafers (NPW) to support daily manufacturing activities according to priority. You are expected to maintain housekeeping of work area and perform tasks safely according to procedures. Responsibilities and Tasks Uphold Safety and housekeeping compliance in work area and participate in safety improvement activity Optimize Fab quality and output by maintaining regular communication with area production and engineering teams and provide timely follow-up to daily production line issues Assist Shift Mfg Engineers to facilitate training and development of Shift Mfg Technicians Promote a positive teamwork and safe environment through mentoring, motivating and encouraging teamwork To monitor WIP, identify process/equipment constraints, anticipate capacity requirement, and collaborate with Shift team to develop game plan to maximize quality output Troubleshooting, escalate and optimize Auto Scheduling of Lots and Auto Staging to Tools to meet on-time shipments by part type Troubleshoot and escalate AMHS delivery to Tool delay or failures e.g loading/unloading failures or AMHS congestion Troubleshoot Tool inefficiency to maximize utilization May perform manual loading of Tools when AMHS is not available Manage, prioritize and may execute equipment set up, Quals and post PM recovery Manage the Area Non Production Wafers Inventory, housekeeping and optimize the rework turn-around to meet the Qual and Setup needs May support Shift Eng Ops in staging and running out Targets or SWR from Workstation Involve in defining and maintaining training materials and SOP Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve tool performance and optimize product flow. All team members are required to complete their learning items within the stipulated time frame For business process and/or QMS component that one is responsible or accountable for: a. ensuring the QMS/business process that is effective and conforms to requirements. e.g. React according to FRM to dispose lot deviation from SPC, FDC, Qtime, tool alarm, etc b. ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs. e.g. Submit Quality Good Catch and escalate to PEE if detect loophole in SPC, FDC, auto Lot hold, auto Tool down setup c. reporting on QMS/business process performance and opportunities for improvement to management e.g. Escalate to Shift Eng Ops Engineer or PEE if detect abnormal lot or tool performance trend. d. ensuring the promotion of internal and external customer focus throughout the organization e.g. Inform upstream/downstream customers to prevent queue time breach due to Tool down or process deviation e. ensuring the maintenance of the integrity of the QMS/ business process when changes are planned and implemented. e.g Follow PEE instructions to perform change control i.e Qual, Targeting etc f. ensuring customer requirements are met e.g. ensure product conformity to quality specifications and has the authority to stop production
