**Project Title**

Internship in Wafer Fab in Operations Excellence & Training

**Project Objective / Purpose (Introduction)**

**Project Description**

Students will be attached to Fab Ops Excellence and get to learn:
An overview of the production plant

How the Fab works from a Quality Standpoint

How to monitor Manufacturing Line Yield and methodology to reduce wafer scraps

Learn 8D Methodology, Statistical Process Control and Fault Detection Control

Track wafer scraps and cost of non-conformance

Proper reporting & closure of month and quarter ends

Prepare weekly Summary of Line Yield

Co-ordinate meetings with the various Fab departments

Develop Multi-media and communications skills
Handle state of the art cameras for photo taking and video recording

Learn lighting and framing

Learn sound recording

Editing and producing videos using specialized software

Assist in hosting livestreams

Produce technical and procedural training videos for the Fab

Implement new training programs

**Project Outcome**

Interns will gain experience in the semiconductor industry, demonstrate a good overall understanding of how the factory works and able to do a presentation of the learning outcome.

At the end of the internship, an overall report to summarize their learning experience with recommendations for improvement is required.

**Required Qualifications**:
Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Chemical / Material Science Engineering
