What You Will Achieve

As a Director at Pfizer, you will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project team and line management. You will review the status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports. In your role, you’ll assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. You will install process excellence supports for program governance, project reviews, communications, training, certifications and rewards.

Your leadership skills and innovative ideas with drive the growth of the Project Management team at Pfizer. As an advisor and an expert, you will be able to build and leverage constructive relationships across theorganizationto achieve your division’s goals and objectives. You will be entrusted with developing Pfizer’s strategies for a portfolio of products and projects.

How You Will Achieve It- Develop innovative or original ideas and leads/co-leads Global Business Unit/Global Operating Unit or Sub Business Unit/Sub Operating Unit projects with unique complexity.- Develop mid-term plans that impact the achievement of Global Business Unit/Global Operating Unit or Sub Business Unit/Sub Operating Unit results.- Drive project governance, including the management of multiple global teams including accountability for global project budgets and impact assessment for ongoing operations.- Use business knowledge, processes skills, change management and continuous improvement methodologies, measurements and tools to analyze issues and execute on strategic, cross-functional projects at the global level.- Provide Program Management Leadership in developing and deploying strategic initiatives. above-site projects, enterprise projects and capability-enabling initiatives that are appropriately defined with measurable actions and specific outputs.- Manage progress against critical metrics and report on financials, variances in time and scope, risks and trends to senior leaders on a regular basis and manage expectations.- Involve all relevant stakeholders to refine objectives, deliverables, project plans and targeted outcomes for each work stream as needed.- Establish and maintain a global structure that optimizes co-creation and co-execution of business plans that represent major business unit needs across the specific unit portfolio.- Develop and support change management plans and associated communication plans, including team Health Checks and other Organizational Effectiveness initiatives in collaboration with HR.- Create and maintain comprehensive plans driving delivery of strategic commitments ensuring value capture.- Manage, identify and coordinate dependencies and collaboration opportunities across the work streams and related functions.- Develop and mentor Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and Associates to build a strong group of project management experts.

Qualifications

Must-Have- Bachelor's Degreeand10+ years of demonstrated experience.- Qualification in Project Management or equivalent continuous improvement expertise.- Strong stakeholder management skills, considering various stakeholder needs and cross-functional impact in all decision making.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including listening, written and oral communication skills.- Demonstrated teamwork, problem solving, decision making, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Nice-to-Have- Master's degreeand Relevant pharmaceutical experience.- Certified Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar continuous improvement certifications.- Experience coaching Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma, Agileand DMAIC principles.- Highly organized and significant experience in driving large scale, complex and strategic programs and manage multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated success.- Proven ability working in matrixed environment with diverse groups and with senior level management.- Project management and continuous improvement certifications (e.g.,Agile, PMP, Black Belt Six Sigma, or similar).
