Role and Responsibilities
PR Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in implementing Global PR campaigns through its phases (launch and maintenance) that support Samsung Singapore’s business objectives
- Oversee major PR launches, community services and other corporate affairs
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (business, online, product, legal) to develop and gain alignment on holistic PR programs that drive media momentum, consumer brand awareness, and sales
- Manage PR cadence calendar communication and asset rollout
- Work with the Director to oversee the planning and implementation of press events
- Lead the Singapore team with national PR efforts to maximize media coverage and develop strategic relationships
- Lead in the development of CSR and Great Work Place Initiatives and all its communication efforts by partnering with the HR Group
- Lead and execute the development of Media Relations and handle all media related activities like media releases, organizing and conducting briefings, contributing articles to the media portal
- Take the lead, in close coordination with the PR Agencies and respective internal departments in the handling of Crisis Communications
- Plan and maintain the annual portfolio budget
- Work with agency to oversee accuracy and maintain departmental standards for all PR reporting documents
- Work with product marketing and legal teams to get approval on public-facing PR documents, such as press releases, fact sheets, and FAQs
- Help with ongoing PR requests and provide guidance to local marketing teams
Influencer Marketing Responsibilities
- Develop influencer strategy that includes influencer approach, concept, and cohorts that are strategically informed and conceptually creative, designed to communicate brand and product stories that utilize influencer authenticity
- Works with the social team to align efforts on activation, influencer content co-creation, sharing UGC, and capitalizing on social strategy
- Identifies potential influencers directly and in collaboration with partners
- Performs influencer outreach to potential influencers to engage and discuss opportunities and contract negotiations
- Manages existing influencer relationships through periodic engagement, Q&A, and dialog on potential opportunities
- Handles communications with influencers and partners to plan, schedule, execute, and measure influencer programs
- Defines and manages performance metrics for influencers programmatically and on a campaign basis
- Create a revenue model for business and brand sustainability
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Marketing, communications, and PR
- Extensive background in PR, influencer management, and social media strategy
- Strong creativity, strategic thinking, relationship-building capabilities, and adaptability in an agile work environment
- Confident, charismatic influencer with experience leading teams
- Excellent content development and presentation skills
- Manage public relations and goodwill programs to foster positive relations with the public, industry stakeholders, and customers.
- Act as the organization’s spokesperson, building strong relationships with media
- Develop and execute social media campaigns that incorporate local insights and data
- A proactive team player with strong networking skills. Work closely with Samsung’s wider team, agencies, and opinion leaders to enhance social content strategies
- Immersed in trends and culture related to social media.
- Good understanding of process, experience working in flexible environments and implementing new processes.
