Application & Project Operations Lead

Purpose of the Job
- To perform and to supervise others who perform engineering work in the design, installation, commissioning, operations and decommissioning of power and temperature control projects for the depot
- Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities
- 1) Responsible in managing depot projects from start to end,
- Head project meetings to collect and disseminate information pertaining to projects.
- Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific project needs.
- Attend site visits and meetings with client to understand project requirements.
- Assist in the coordination of pricing, estimating, scoping strategies for proposed projects and in the development and preparation of technical specifications.
- Review and monitor project progress to assure quality and adherence to requirements of contract documents.
- Work with operations team leaders and service administrators to fulfil appropriate project requirements including manpower coordination (in terms of number and expertise), equipment availability and logistics
- requirements.
- To make the necessary travel arrangements for manpower and to coordinate all equipment logistics.
- Monitor program activity to achieve an “on-time” result including follow-up with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items.
- Evaluate project performance of functional areas.
- Responsible for control of work-in-progress on related projects.
- Preparation and submission of necessary project status reports to relevant stakeholders prior to monthly or final invoicing.
- Ensure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting’s closing process.
- Ensure that monthly invoices are submitted on time and to ensure that due collections are collected on schedule.
- Ensure that project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Understand basic revenue models and P&L, meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

- Lead Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, Package ME006 as Project Manager
- 2) Provide Engineering expertise
- Technical specification review and resolution.
- Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within the company and customer.
- Prepares design computations and quantity estimates.
- Create project schedule, bill of material, single line drawing, site layout drawing, risk assessment and work method statements to ensure successful execution of the project.
- Prepares designs, drawings, plans and specifications for projects, engineered systems, technical equipment, or components.
- 3) Directs and supervise field service technicians
- during installation, commissioning, operations and decommissioning of power and temperature control projects
- and other engineering activities.

4) Others
- Contribute to the improvement of the department by challenging current practice and identifying areas for improvement.
- Perform any other assigned duties as deemed necessary by their line manager
- To cover the duty of the Service team Leader (Workshop/Field) during his/her absence, when assigned or required.

Person Specification/Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in power and temperature control projects
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulatory processes.
- Capable of using computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Knowledge of applicable engineering theory, methods, and practices.
- Skill in the use of applicable engineering equipment and instrumentation.
- Ability to perform complex mathematical and engineering calculations.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to oversee the work of technical and skilled-trade subordinates.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, stress, detailed work, reasoning, deadlines. Must be flexible, analytical, and posses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Will be interacting with multiple departments and working independently.
- The person is expected to be flexible including working outside of normal work hours and weekend working on occasions when required.
- Able to commute reliably to office base.
- Willing to travel for on/offshore assignments as and when required.
