
Assistant Director, Media Relations and Internal

**Responsibilities**
**Sourcing, shaping and distributing content**
- Identify and shape stories for key platforms, aligned with School positioning and business goals, by researching on trends and working closely with stakeholders
- Develop and raise thought leadership visibility via targeted content across key platforms
- Build a strong editorial calendar in alignment with the overall communications strategy
- Ensure the optimization of the content programme and deliver consistently with a coherent voice, style and tone
- Adopt best practices in development, distribution and management of value-driven content creation and curation across various digital channels
- Draft feature articles, speeches, and materials for key external communications by Dean’s office and other NBS departments, as well as enhance communications tool kits (fact sheet, info graphics, institutional presentation, corporate videos, photo library)
**Media coverage and management**
- Develop PR calendar on newsworthy developments for media pitching, aligned with School positioning and business goals and in coordination with NTU’s Corporate Communications Office
- Draw up reputation management framework
- Lead in press release and responses to media queries, gathering content from faculty, staff, students, researching background information, and coordinating with NTU’s Corporate Communications Office
- Media monitoring: Measure coverage of NBS in major news platforms, including benchmarking against competitors
**Internal communications**
- Develop internal communications strategy
- Oversee all internal communications efforts, including e-newsletters, and work with Corporate Services on townhalls and related activities
- Track and measure internal communications efforts, including recommendations for improvement
**Requirements**:
- Degree holder in Communications, Business, English or equivalent
- 5 - 8 years of relevant media or communications experience
- Excellent news sense and experience in news and feature writing
- Creativity, resourcefulness, meticulousness and initiative
- Results-oriented and sensitive to deadlines
