Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Partners are critical to the success of Snowflake business. To support our growth, we are expanding our technical team that is dedicated to the CSP relationship such as AWS, Azure within the APJ region.
This exciting, remote-flexible role involves collaboration with a diverse group of people across the many different countries and industries in APJ. One day you could be supporting a team in Singapore or India; the next you could be dialling into a call with our ANZ, Japan or Korea team.
These can range from providing technical guidance to AWS / Azure Solution Architect (SA) teams, assisting in strategic customer accounts and related deals, providing technical enablement for Snowflake Sales Engineering team, or even helping to guide our product development based on what you learn from your customer conversations. While the day-to-day has a lot of variety, these activities are woven with the common thread of building a collaborative technical partnership between Snowflake and AWS/ Azure.
As a Snowflake Partner Sales Engineer, you are someone who finds joy in the technical details, but also likes to step back and see the bigger picture - what problem are we solving for a business? You can empathise with different perspectives, and use this valuable skill to understand the nuance of a technical discussion and find compromise, while retaining honest technical integrity. **IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO**:
- Be the Snowflake technical leader and build strong relationships with senior technical leaders for the AWS / Azure Partnerships.
- Grow and share your AWS / Azure knowledge as part of a collaborative team, providing Snowflake architectural and technical guidance to AWS / Azure SAs, strategic prospects, customers, and partners
- Work together with a team of experts for AWS / Azure on Snowflake and collaborate on enablement strategy for broader Snowflake Sales Engineering teams
- Scale through the Partner Sales Engineering team to ensure the strategic system integrators(SIs) in APJ understand the value of Snowflake with AWS/Azure. Create and lead go-to-market solutions jointly with Snowflake, the SI and the CSP together.
- Work alongside the Partner Management team, providing collaborative technical thought leadership and insights to help guide their strategic initiatives.
- Engage constructively with the Product team, sharing customer feedback and insights to inform the evolution of Snowflake's product offerings
- Support the development of a variety of technical resources — including demos, white papers, blog posts, and interactive labs — to enhance the understanding and adoption of our joint solutions with AWS / Azure
- Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for our joint solutions through various channels such as conferences, webinars, and marketing events, helping to grow awareness and engagement
- Stay actively informed about industry trends, technologies, and competitors to ensure Snowflake's offerings remain relevant and competitive
- Foster a collaborative environment with teams across Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of Snowflake's products and overall market strategy
- Build assets to enable and train Snowflake Sales Engineers on partner integrations and solutions
**BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE FOR THIS ROLE**:
- These are criteria in line with what we hope to see in applicants, but we encourage those with relevant skills to apply, even if you don’t meet every criterion. You will be working in a supportive team environment that fosters ongoing learning.
- Excitement or interest in the data ecosystem, and desire to learn
- Deep knowledge of AWS / Azure based cloud architectures and services
- 10 years of experience working in some combination of data, analytics, and cloud environments
- Comfort in discussion with both technical and business audiences
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical audiences and build architectures to solve their business problems
- Familiarity with SQL and Python
- Be able to travel up to 40% of the time across the APJ region
**Bonus**: Practical experience working with tools such as Snowflake, any of the native AWS / Azure native services, or other tools in the modern data ecosystem
**Bonus**:Experience in working with System Integrators on defining their go-to-market and presales strategies.
