Head of Product Marketing

**We're hiring a Head of Product Marketing (GTM)**:**ExpressVPN is one of** **the world's fastest-growing privacy apps**. Our mission is to help build a free and more open internet that gives you back control of your own personal data. We acquire millions of new users every year and are continually releasing new products and features to improve their protection online.
To drive these goals, we're looking for a **Head of Product Marketing (GTM)** to lead the global product marketing strategy and execution. As the leader of product marketing, you'll help bring our products and features to life by spearheading the development of compelling product positioning and messaging. You'll also help build out our product marketing organization by devising new processes and ways of working within marketing, product, communications, and design, along with the right hiring plans.
This is a fantastic role for someone who is **results-oriented and highly collaborative**, with experience leading a best-in-class product marketing team within a fast-growing business. With your experience in product marketing, you'll be comfortable with helping your team of global product marketers navigate ambiguities, and will provide coaching to help them grow as marketers.
**What you'll do in this role**:
You will:
- **Own the development and review of all go-to-market plans **including strategy, positioning, launch materials, and briefs to ensure they fit cohesively across the product features, customer journeys, and future plans
- **Serve as the hub for go-to-market readiness across the organization** by partnering with relevant cross-functional teams to ensure smooth launches, including:
- Product: Product roadmap, launch prioritization, and agreed-upon KPIs
- Customer service: Defining the briefing process and developing updates to customer support content
- Data Analytics: Ensure reporting of relevant KPIs related to adoption, usage, and campaign performance
- Communications: Define positioning and key messaging strategies to communicate the product value proposition and the right handover points
- UX research: Define gaps in understanding customer needs across the organization to inform product roadmaps, business strategies, and messaging
- **Build and grow a globally distributed team of product marketers **that enables you to deliver on your organizational goals and targets
- **Partner with other functional leaders to establish processes **to ensure a cohesive end-to-end approach, and define roles and responsibilities for new product launches
- **Partner with Product leadership **to help prioritize product development based on consumer needs, market research, and the impact it will have on product adoption
- **Establish and own the relevant product marketing KPIs** (e.g. adoption, usage, user sentiment) for all programs that they're running—including tracking of performance and forecasting expected uptake—to ensure that marketing touchpoints are delivering against expected business outcomes
- **Own and drive internal communication and knowledge** **sharing** with sales, customer success, and communications teams
**What you'll need to succeed**:
As someone with a track record in product marketing within the tech space, you'll be familiar with what it takes to launch new product features across platforms—and what's most impactful to deliver your KPIs. But more importantly, you'll know how to achieve those through your team.
You are confident in your product marketing skills and you know what needs to be done to deliver results. And you're comfortable getting into the nitty-gritty details when needed.
- **A proven track record in leading product marketing teams. **You'll be joining us as a team leader, and will need 5+ years of people management in B2C product marketing
- **Experience in GTM execution**, specifically in translating strategic goals of adoption or usage into detailed operating plans through partnerships with cross-functional teams
- **Experience in building strong partnerships and working with others **within product management and marketing leadership
- **Natural communicator **who effortlessly takes complex technology solutions and crafts simple, powerful, and compelling propositions
- **Comfort in navigating ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities **by building prioritization systems and ways of working through new processes
- **Experience in influencing a product roadmap **through the product development lifecycle, taking it to market, and driving ongoing adoption** **after the launch
- **Experience in building, growing, and coaching others** at different levels of experience and inspiring them to do their best work
- **History of a hands-on style of working and management. **You're willing to roll up your sleeves and work with teams to get things done
