Singapore Grocery Logistics of Singapore Pte Ltd Full time

COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Grocery Logistics Singapore (GLS) a wholly owned subsidiary of FairPrice Group Supply Chain, is a well-established logistics player in the Fast Moving Consumers Goods (FMCG) segment, incorporated since January 1993. Other than being the key logistics provider for NTUC FairPrice and its subsidiaries, we had serviced the Dairy Farm Group, Royal Ahold Group (since exited from Singapore Markets) and many small supermarket chains since our establishment.

DESIGNATION : Warehouse Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the daily warehouse operations and inventory accuracy. He/ she is expected to:

- Perform physical receiving and QC checks
- Record and update receiving and QC information to WMS / QC module systems
- Conduct QC check in accordance to sample size and quality document
- Ensure QC items meet quality requirement as stated in the quality document.
- Take photos of product quality and download/upload photos into QC module or reports.
- Participate in quality improvement meetings/initiatives/ projects.
- Reject failed QC items from suppliers / transfer failed QC items to non-conforming storage area.
- Ensure non-conforming products are not delivered to the stores.
- Ensure proper disposal of non-conforming products.
- Provide support and guidance to new staffs on Fruits quality checks, enabling them to perform in theirroles.
- Able to process order and other administrate matter such as store's feedback.
- Physically fit to carry carton boxes 20 kg and below.
- Using MHE to perform physical movement of pallets.
- Computer and Tablet literacy. Any other jobs as assigned by Reporting Officer

QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in quality check / control of perishable food (eg. fruits, vegetables etc) in a warehouseor distribution centre environment.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Can-do attitude and self-motivated individual who is passionate about QC.
- Good communication skills.
- Prior hands-on experience in warehousing and/or QC related platforms/system modules.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Proven ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklift and reach truck.
- Has a valid forklift license.
- Open to working in a cold room environment (2 - 8 degrees celsius) and carry heavy load if required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

OTHER INFORMATION
- Work location: 7 Sunview Road
- Working hours: any 6 days a week based on shift timing (7am - 3:20pm) including weekends and public holidays.
