Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience working in an analytical environment (e.g., financial planning and analysis, business analytics, management consulting, investment banking, etc.). - Experience with SQL, R, Python, or other programming/scripting languages to manipulate datasets. Preferred qualifications: - Understanding of marketing return on investment (e.g., incrementality, LTV, CAC) and corporate finance principles. - Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Excellent problem-solving, technical, and analysis skills, combined with business acumen. - Excellent verbal, written communication, and facilitation skills, with a demonstrated track record of building relationships with stakeholders. **About the job**: Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges. In this role, you will focus on a Google product area. You will develop analyses and insights to help our business partners understand the value of marketing initiatives, and provide recommendations to shape their investment decisions. Our business partners are leaders across Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Product. The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. **Responsibilities**: - Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, derive insights, and develop high-impact recommendations for executive business leaders. - Measure marketing incrementality through multiple statistical techniques (e.g., A/B and multivariate testing, and causal impact analyses). - Provide key data insights to help marketers shape future or existing campaigns, continue to identify growth opportunities, and data-driven recommendations to improve budget investments. - Design, implement, and maintain good governance processes for managing expenditures and risk. - Work with datasets, ensuring that our marketing activities are being tracked and measured appropriately by working with cross-functional stakeholders.
