**Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) **is one of ENGIE’s Business Units. On February 1st, the GEM BU becomes GEMS, Global Energy Management & Sales. This Business Entity, bringing together the B2B Supply and energy management activities, aims to develop new geographies for GEMS, in order to accelerate the supply and management of low-carbon energy for our customers, thus creating value for the Group.

GEMS manages one of the largest and most diversified energy portfolios in Europe, including electricity, natural gas, LNG, bulk commodities and environmental products.

Within the GEMS Business Unit, the Singapore-based Business Platform APAC and the Business Platform Australia is managing and developing the group’s trading activities for these regions around 4 main pillars: risk management and market access, asset management, green solutions and energy supply businesses.

Within the GEM Business Unit the Business Platform APAC is managing and developing the group’s trading activities for the APAC region.

**WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE
**Role**

As a Market Analyst, you will report to the Head of APAC Power and Gas based in Singapore and Head of Market Analysis based in Paris. You will contribute to the fulfillment of the missions APAC Power and Gas team requiring collaboration with Engie’s GMA team, commercial functions and staff.

**Main activities**
- Support APAC Power and Gas teams trading and business development activities with real-time ad-hoc market research and pricing analysis. Markets coverages include Australian Power, Japan Power, Singapore Power, New Zealand Power, and India Power, as well as Global Gas.
- Maintain and leverage existing analytical models or perform new analysis to understand industry trends and generate insights for APAC Power and Gas markets.
- Prepare analysis for external and internal communication in the form of presentations or reports.
- Coordinate communication between branch offices and third parties across multiple time zones (Singapore, Paris and Brussels)
- Review and gain expert level knowledge on APAC Power and Gas markets fundamental analysis, including new counties where Engie has not previously been present.

- Master’s Degree. Business, Finance, Management, Economics or Engineering highly preferred.
- Other Geographies: In France: Bachelors Degree. Business, Finance, Management, Economics or Engineering highly preferred.
- Excellent Quantitative Analysis skills, preferably with experience in Energy Commodity markets.
- An effective team player and passionate about Energy Markets

**Technical skills**
- Ability to handle complex database and convert numbers into economic risk insights, which can be used to develop trading strategy.
- Strong mathematical capability, attention to detail and problem solver.
- Very good programming skills (the likes of Python) and strong interest in energy - gas and power markets.
- Advanced computer literate in Microsoft Office
