The Policy and Planning Department is responsible for developing EMA's strategic policies to advance our strategic goals of forging an energy system that is sustainable, resilient, dynamic and efficient. As part of a team of analysts, you will play a key role in driving EMA's energy policy development and spearhead our sustainability efforts. You will drive policy coherence and alignment, assess interlinkages and interdependencies across policies. You will help promote policy innovation within EMA by keeping abreast of emerging energy trends and policies, and assessing their implications and suitability to Singapore's unique circumstances. You will get a close-up look at sustainability initiatives across the EMA, and ensure that we are on-track towards meeting our national objectives. We are looking for people with an open and creative mind. You must be unafraid to learn new things. You have to be comfortable with navigating ambiguity, able to define problem spaces, assess trade-offs and respond nimbly. You must also be willing to do deep into relevant areas to extract new insights. You must dare to voice your views and push for change. Requirements Keen interest in energy issues and public service. Analytical and critical thinking skills, with capability to weigh trade-offs/implications between policy choices and make strategic recommendations. Competency in working with datasets and data tools (e.g. Excel modelling) to support policy analysis and recommendations.
