Your tasks

The Head of Sustainability Natural Rubber develops and implements our Sustainable Natural Rubber Strategy in line with Continental's Sustainability Policy and Road Map and aligns this with internal and external stakeholders. The team ensures that all relevant sustainability data are analysed and checked systematically for potential risks along the whole supply chain of natural rubber, up to the plots of land where it was grown. They flag needs for mitigation action, agree on mitigation projects with suppliers and other external stakeholders and set up and control these projects. They ensure that Continental's KPIs regarding natural rubber sustainability are properly defined, measured regularly and improved every year. They represent Continental in the Global Platform of Sustainable Natural Rubber and engage other external stakeholders, such as service providers and NGOs. They control the compliance of Natural Rubber Purchasing of Continental with legal requirements, at this particular moment with a strong focus on the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). They lead their team inspiring them to highest performance and ensuring that all team members are motivated, properly trained and have the required resources. To achieve their challenging targets, they collaborate closely with a strong network of Continental experts, both in Singapore and overseas.

**Profile**:

- University Degree in Business, Technology, Agriculture / Agroforestry, Natural Science and/or creditable professional experience in the field of Sustainability in Natural Rubber
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Good networker
- Experience in Natural Rubber procurement / Supply Chain or R&D
- Previous involvement in the analysis and implementation of EUDR
- Previous international / intercultural exposure through minimum either living and working three years abroad or having worked at least three years at an international corporation
- Knowledge of HCV and HCS approaches and ESG frameworks
- Knowledge of Certification and sustainability standards
- Background in Integration and project management
- Previous team lead experience is considered a plus
