Information Technology Specialist

**Duties**:

- The duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Participates in major segments of the Salesforce Platform initiatives: special studies related to the project plan, that provides guidance to governance groups, and implement required regulations, policies, and guidelines required for the project.
- Interprets policies in assigned program areas, takes or recommends actions to achieve project objectives and deliverables, and recommends future program objectives and improvements.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of sophisticated management information systems that focus on long
- and short-range plans, policies and programs in the direction of goals, objectives.
- Coordinates planning management through briefings, presentations, trainings, and conferences for management.
- Represents the organization at meetings and conferences as directed by supervisor. Maintains liaison with APHIS staff members and governance boards.

**Qualifications**:

- Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
- **FOR THE GS-12 LEVEL**:Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-11 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:

- Writing, tracking and documenting user stories in Agile Accelerator in a Salesforce environment that requires knowledge of IT system requirements gathering.
- Performing administration tasks in Salesforce; administrator experience with software integrations (e.g. MuleSoft and DocuSign).
- Validating new functionality and debugging by performing hands-on Salesforce system testing and providing additional services that can enhance the Salesforce enterprise architecture.

Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level.
- In addition, all applicants qualifying based on experience must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Applicants must demonstrate possession of these competencies within the body of the resume; no separate statements addressing them are required.

**Additional information**:

- First time hires to the federal government normally start at the lowest rate of the salary range for the grade selected.
- Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. Any travel, transportation, and relocation expense associated with reporting for duty will be the responsibility of the selected employee.
