Social Media Content Producer

Insider Inc. launched a global news bureau in Singapore in January 2021. We're a team that thrives on taking on challenges and jumping on the day's biggest news. Insider is hiring a social media content producer (contract) in Singapore to distribute stories across various social networks and platforms. This contract runs for six months with a monthly salary of SGD 3,000. **It has the potential to convert to a full-time role at 6 months.**

Social media content producers manage posting schedules across social channels and help the distribution team reach its goals on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Snapchat, TikTok, and LinkedIn. They are responsible for distributing stories on social channels as they are published, as well as recirculating dozens of evergreen archive pieces per day. They also help to organize and maintain our archives. Additionally, the social media content producer in Singapore can expect to execute push notifications on tight deadlines, update homepages throughout the shift, and analyze data and track statistics. They work with content from all verticals across our three desks: news, business, and life.

Social media content producers should be comfortable working with teams across the company. They should expect to work in a fast-paced environment and be capable of juggling multiple tasks and deadlines. They should be self-sufficient, have the ability to pivot from one task to the next without missing a beat and be capable of making the correct judgment calls based on what they've been trained on.

Our social media accounts are the face of our brands, and our social media content producers play an integral role by helping to run our growing network.

**This contract position is equivalent to Insider's internship/fellowship program, and it has the potential to convert to a full-time role at 6 months.**

All our applicants should have the following:

- Familiarity with the Insider brands
- Experience with and a passion for digital and social media
- Experience packaging stories for publication: writing headlines, picking images, etc.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Proofreading and copyediting skills
- Ability to work quickly and collaboratively with a fast-paced team
- Ability to problem solve independently

Additionally, for the distribution team, we're looking for someone with the following:

- Work experience with one or more social media platforms
- Experience working with breaking news
- Experience working with editorial and journalism
- Some familiarity with the distribution of social video
- Experience with content management systems
- Experience with Photoshop
- Interest in data collection and analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple daily responsibilities

This social media content producer (contract) position is ideal for **early-career individuals who want to spend six months learning from a newsroom full of passionate, dedicated journalists.**

Please note: This contract position requires that you are based in Singapore, open to working in part remotely, and preferably **full-time at 40 hours a week, for six months**.
