Business Group Leader

Together, we’ll help create a future for generations to come. **Role purpose** The Business Group Leader (BGL) is accountable to the Business Advisory and Regional Leadership team for revenue and growth targets, team utilisation and project performance of the Business Group, for maintaining and developing client relationships and developing a high performing team. **Key responsibilities** - Develop and implement the Business Group annual business plan and provide leadership to the Business Group in line with GHD’s values and strategy. - Manage and mitigate risk, ensure the safety of the people within the group, and that projects are managed in line with GHD’s Quality, HSE and IMS compliance standards. - Proactively manage group performance and people and manage approvals in line with GHD’s Limits of Authority (and any regional annexures). - Champion an aligned purpose, enable awareness of business group services to Regions and vice versa. - Facilitate the maintenance and development of existing client relationships, and work with Executive Advisors and Market Leaders across APAC to identify and develop new clients. - Champion GHD's Client Experience principles and ensure these are upheld within the group. - Champion collaboration and integration across Regions to deliver best in class, integrated solutions for our clients. - Develop and mentor employees within the group to resource the current and future requirements of group projects, considering both project needs and employee career aspirations. - Develop and implement action plans for team engagement. - Promote innovation within the Business Group including the deployment of data-led solutions harnessing automated, digital and technological solution delivery. - Develop and agree project packages, budgets, and progress with Project Directors/Managers. - Manage the allocation of people to projects, foster clear communication and project leadership within the Business Group. - Support the month-end invoicing, forecasting and oversee financial management of the group. - Build effective relationships with other BGLs, Market Leaders and Business Services (People, Finance, HSE etc.) **Experience and knowledge** - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in relevant field. - Applies a mastery of a specific professional discipline or broader expertise in most or all areas within a discipline, demonstrated in a relevant industry or consulting business. - Proven experience in the technical leadership and track record in successful management of multiple consultancy projects >$0.5m. - Experience managing a team of professionals including responsibility for P&L, development and engagement of team. - Strong judgement and decisiveness, bias for action. - Innovation / continual improvement mindset, able to lead change management and implement decisions made by the business. - Proactive, analytical and problem-solving skills.
