Events & Training Manager - Asia Pacific

We are currently looking for a:
**EVENTS & TRAINING MANAGER**

**Asia Pacific (AP) Office**

The Events & Training manager will join the Asia Pacific team to work on UITP regional events and training programs, managing operational duties linked to organization of events. They will be the contact person for all events organized in the region and coordinate all actions within his/her responsibilities.

**Responsibilities****:
**Events Management for Small-Mid Sized Regional Events and Training Programmes**

In charge of the Project Management of Regional Events/Trainings with size of 20 to 300 pax that take place in-person or digital a.o UITP AP Assembly, Membership Events, Regional Platform/Working Group Meetings, Training and Webinars.

In Charge of Event management and on-site support for the above mentioned events including delegates registrations, speakers management, vendor management, communication with local host, members or partners, all logistics aspects like venue, catering, IT, sponsorship and post-event management.

Actively work on the promotion of UITP regional and international events/trainings via website and social media, newsletters and flyer etc. in collaboration with UITP HQ offices

**Project Management of SITCE ( Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition)**
- Prepare and participate to all Steering Committees and some Sub-Committees upon request
- Provide direction and support for to the project team
- Handle operational and administrative functions to ensure projects are delivered efficiently
- Coordinate the main communication with MP, PCO of the event, LTA and internally with regions and HQ
- Manage and oversee milestones of the event production, assess the risks and issues. Ensure prompt steps are taken to resolve any issue that may jeopardize the success of an event
- Update the internal team and project Board of the progress using tools put in place by the Project Management Office
- Support the SITCE Co-Chair to ensure strict adherence to budget
- Follow up for the capacity of team involved in the project
- Develop and maintain good relationship with all involved stakeholders
- Handle external enquiries and dispatch to relevant colleagues or partners
- Identify within Asia the right partners and members to involved and facilitate any meetings between UITP and involved stakeholders.
- Oversee and coordinate with PCO & LTA all operations on the day of the event
- Debrief with the project team, analyse and prepare the UITP post-event report.
- A first experience in event organization / event management
- Preferably in international environment
- Excellent written and spoken English, Chinese and other Asian Languages are asset
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Very well-organized, multi-tasking abilities, flexibility in tasks, rigorous, with eyes for details,
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Happy to give support to a dynamic and creative team
- IT literate, hands-on experience with MS Office, at ease with CRM tools, social media, video and marketing tools etc.
- Sense of initiative, problems solving attitude
- Integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to travel in Asia
- Caring management and respect of UITP values.
