Roles & Responsibilities

**Responsibilities**:

- Make use of WIP loading plan to optimize machine usage
- Plan job flow, hours estimation and schedule process timeline using ERP
- Arrange for outsourcing process requisitions if the team deems internal capacity to be overloaded
- Design drawings and issue job folders
- Participate in mold design reviews
- Participate in Contract Reviews with Tooling Engineers, Designers and customers
- Monitor job progress and feedback timely to person-in-charge
- Calculate internal cost estimation to justify for sub-out
- Plan and ensure that raw materials, mold bases and standard component requisitions are according to schedule
- Purchase tool room accessories (negotiate prices) and prepare Purchase Requisitions
- Monitor quality and feedback timely to person-in-charge
- Involved in Continuous Improvement Programme
- Update tooling status on weekly basis
- Prepare monthly machine downtime report to General Manager
- Re-prioritize job schedule according to superior’s request (as per customers’ requirement)
- Reject raw materials, mold bases and standard components that do not meet requirements
- Assist the team in contacting customers regarding quotation
- Take reasonable care of workplace health and safety; abide by all EHS policies and procedures; cooperate with Management and colleagues in EHS initiatives

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge in mold making process
- Interpreting 2D drawings
- Good communication skills
- Min. 2 years’ experience in manufacturing/plastic injection molding industry
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
