**About the role**

The incumbent will be leading a team and will be part of a larger team within the IFF department in providing seamless and customer-focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives.

**What you will be doing**
- Direct communication with Airlines on space allocation
- Airlines Rates Procurement and negotiation
- Maintain good carrier relationship
- Update and disseminate carriers’ notices / information on surcharge updates
- Good knowledge of flight routes & visibility of airline costing
- Source out cargo space and cost with airlines for Airfreight planning and optimization of loading plan
- Co-ordinate with export operations to ensure accuracy in documentation, electronic data transfer and invoicing through forwarding sub-ledger and accounts balancing
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless support, high customer satisfaction, high productivity and efficiency
- Able to streamline business processes, reducing costs and maximize profit margins through Airfreight Consol Planning, Block Space Agreements and Build-Up-Pallet Programmes
- Lead / guide team on daily job scope and deals with escalations in a timely manner through resolve
- Resolve discrepancies through team effort via empowerment and guiding a team towards resolution
- Provide improvements where required, through discussion with team and proposal to management prior to implementation

**Team Management**
- Ensure and monitor team compliance to the Bollore’s Code of Conduct and Company’s regulations
- Ensure team understanding and implementation on Bollore’s Value in daily work behaviours
- Plan and monitor team performance including give coaching and counselling needed to deliver expected outcomes
- Plan and monitor team development together with HR Division
- Ensure updated Job Description availability for the team by coordinating with HR Division
- Ensure all changes in Department / Section communicated properly to the team

**Requirements**:

- Diploma/Degree with minimum 5-10 years of experience in freight-forwarding (airfreight) is advantageous
- Possess effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills at a management level
- Experience in Cargowise will be an added advantage
- Experience with leading a team of at least 3-5 direct staff
- Able to work and perform under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Willing to be contactable 24 / 7 via mobile to assist in handling issues if there’s any needs arises
- Having personal attributes of perseverance and a go-getter, able to motivate team.
