Singapore MOL TANKSHIP MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. Full time

Be responsible for crew management, including duties such as recruiting, development and training together with performance management, initiating and implementing strategies for recruiting and ensure that qualified and competent seafarers are assigned to the managed vessels, in accordance with Co’s policies and procedures.
- To supervise the implementation of crew department procedures as planned.
- To implement manning policies of the company and liaising with other departments for recruitment of seafarers.
- To liaise with other department heads in the office and Principal for arrangement of sea staff who are joining.
- Ensure that each vessel is manned with qualified, medically fit and experienced seafarers.
- Selection and recruitment of certified and medically fit sea staff, also attend cadet selection and plan required trainings to meet the future needs.
- To plan and arrange MLC certification including making Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance Part I and II and MLC inspection onboard.
- To monitor crew rest and working hours in the fleet vessels and give them good instructions to comply with MLC requirements.
- To manage briefing and interview for sea staff prior to joining.
- To review information on the performance of all seafarers including assessing sea staff evaluation report.
- To ensure manning agents maintain the crew database as required by industry standards and keeping full records.
- To manage trainings of sea staff to upgrade their skills and safety awareness.
- To plan, organize and attend overseas crew seminars.
- To carry out internal audit for office and overseas agents.
- To make preparation for external office audit by third parties.

Work Experience

Minimum 2 years shore experience in ship management company, on crew management.

Sailing experience on diverse types of vessels, ethane carriers an added advantage.

Familiar with ISM, STCW, IMO, Flag state requirements, MLC, TMSA and crew's documentation and license.

Computer literate.

Excellent communication and people management skills.

Able to multi-task and be a team player.

Education & Qualification

Minimum Diploma or Degree.

Ex-Merchant Mariner, preferably Chief Officer with Master's license or equivalent.
