Marine Superintendent- Chemical Tanker

Royal Ocean Marine is looking for an experienced Marine Superintendent specializing in chemical tankers to join our client's team. The Marine Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of chemical tanker vessels under their supervision. This role requires a strong emphasis on maritime regulations, safety management, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of chemical tanker vessels to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of vessels to evaluate safety performance and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical support and guidance to vessel crews on chemical handling procedures, safety protocols, and emergency response plans.
- Manage and coordinate maintenance, drydocking, and repairs in alignment with the company's policies and budgetary constraints.
- Assist in incident investigations and implement corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, performance reports, and operational data.
- Foster continuous improvement in safety practices and operational performance across the fleet.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine operations, with at least 3 years as a Marine Superintendent in chemical tanker operations.
- Thorough knowledge of maritime regulations and safety management systems related to chemical tankers.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using marine management software and MS Office applications.
- Certifications in HSEQ and hazardous materials handling are preferred.
- Willingness to travel to vessels in various locations as required.
