- KONE Singapore is embarking upon an exciting growth phase and as such we are seeking Customer Solution Engineer to join our team in Singapore.
What will you do?
- Determine optimal technical solutions to meet the customer’s needs for non-standard and modernization cases (including lifecycle needs and possible deviations from standard maintenance methods) and perform initial and revised calculations
- Ensure clarity on the solution’s scope, including KONE and possible third-party offerings
- Participate in customer meetings and answers customers’ technical questions
- Select the correct product platform on which to make the offering
- Propose solutions from all KONE business lines; new services, escalators, elevators, doors etc.
- Review jointly with Systems Engineers, supply line, installation, maintenance and project management teams to understand the costing for materials and integrations
- Perform technical site surveys and traffic analyses
- Coordinate solution lead times from supply line and local sourcing
- Ensure that proposed solution(s) can be installed and fulfills local codes, regulations and safety requirements, environmental regulations and compliant with KONE engineering policy
- Provides content for pre-tender and pre-booking reviews (technical solutions, costs, lead times, risks, verification of technical content in contracts)
- Leads full chain engineering teams on major projects until handover to the stage
- Accountable for layout creation
- Analyses change requirements, and makes proposals for the new solution plan
- Provides necessary details to team responsible for ordering materials and completing the documentation process
- Provides solution-related information to Project Managers, Installation Supervisors and Maintenance Supervisors
- Sharing knowledge with maintenance team as needed
- Participates in product and new services release information-sharing sessions
- Provides technical trainings to Sales, Installation and Maintenance teams as needed
- Offers input to the product offering management about customization, standardization and interface requirements for the portfolio
- Contribution to the Customer Solutions Engineering virtual and local network
- Contribute to and utilize the Customer Solutions Engineering case library
- Handles engineering on Modernization including component upgrades, full replacement or existing building lifts
- Are you the one?
- At least Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics preferred)
- Experience in customer-facing roles, particularly in the functions of sales engineering/specification/project management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of internal and external customers
- Possesses a positive mindset and is adaptable to varying situations
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage crisis during time-pressured periods
- Hands-on experience in AutoCAD will be an added advantage
