**Job Overview**
- Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer to contribute to the financial strategy of the business and decision-making process.
- Manage the operations of Finance Department, drive key strategic initiatives and support the development of business growth plans and people matters.
- Work closely with the CEO and senior management team on the strategies for communications, business planning & work transformation.
- Perform analysis and provide recommendations to CEO and senior management team related to emerging industry trends, new service offerings, internal business performance and business process improvement.
- Develops the organization's strategic plan(s) to ensure the continued successful growth and profitability of the organization.
**Responsibilities**
**Financial Reporting**:
- Ensure the timely delivery of financial and management reporting produced to the proper standards, and reporting of consolidation, cash flow, budget and forecast, variance analysis.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to CFS senior management, funders and board members.
- Responsible for submission of the financial results for management and to fulfil statutory requirements and reporting purposes.
- Prepare annual audited financial statements.
**Finance Operations**:
- Manage the day-to-day function of the Finance Department including accounting, invoicing, payment, cash management, taxation and internal financial reporting.
- Oversee the management of cash flow, including donations collection and grant disbursement.
- Liaise with bankers, funders and fund managers when required.
- Liaise with CFS’s Finance and Investment Committees.
**Talent Development**:
- Oversee the training and development of the Finance team to ensure each level of staff able to perform their tasks at an optimal level.
**Business Development**:
- Analyze monthly and quarterly donations, grants and investments reports - highlight trends, risks, opportunities
- Manage the optimization of all financial resources to implement CFS’s strategic objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the key stakeholders on relevant data for the analysis of trends, and provide the appropriate recommendations.
**Systems Enhancement**:
- Streamline the accounting functions and operations.
- Assist with the on-going enhancements to our Finance Systems.
- Project Manage implementation of new initiatives in coordination with all stakeholders
**Strategic Communication**:
- Collaborate with the CEO and other senior executives to develop and execute communication strategies that effectively convey the organisation’s vision, goals and initiatives both internally and externally.
- Work with Marketing and Communications to craft messages, speeches, presentations and other materials consistent and compelling communication across various channels.
**Business Planning**:
- Conduct market research, financial analysis, and scenario planning to inform decision-making and resource allocation.
- Identify opportunities for growth and provide strategic recommendation to capitalize on emerging trends, innovate product or new service offerings, enter new markets, or adapt existing strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
- Propose strategies for launching, marketing, and scaling new service offerings while mitigating potential risks
**Work Transformation**:
- Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to drive initiatives aimed at transforming work processes, improving efficiency and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Implement new technologies, redesigning workflows and developing talent management strategies to support organisational goals.
**Change Management**:
- Transform work processes and implementing new strategies often requires navigating complex organisational dynamics and overcoming resistance to change.
- Lead management efforts by engaging stakeholders, communicating effectively about the rationale for change and providing support and resources to help employees adapt to new ways of working.
**Performance Monitoring and Evaluation**:
- Work with the CEO and senior management team to establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress against goals and conduct regular evaluations to assess the impact of communication strategies, business plans, and work transformation initiatives.
