Lead Engineer

**About the Role**:
Due to continued growth, Anergy has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer role in Singapore. You will be joining a diverse team of individuals who are passionate about what they do, a team with a proven track record in guiding our clients and leading delivery of our unique HTP (High Temperature Pyrolysis) technology. The Lead Engineer is a key position and will form an important part of the Anergy Engineering Team.

As a Lead Engineer, you will oversee the delivery of products within budget, schedule and quality guidelines. You will be required to lead and develop, manage and maintain a cross discipline and multi locational team in order to achieve business outcomes.

You will deliver engineering solutions in a timely and cost effective manner deploying internal and contract resources as necessary to achieve results for the client. The role will require addressing difficult technical problems, which may require ingenuity and creativity. Close collaboration with engineering team members, as well as cross functional support of project management and procurement teams. Interface with senior management to report on project and program milestones as well as overall performance metrics will be required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform engineering work scope pertaining to, but not limited to: mechanical equipment, piping design, plant general layout, etc
- Ensure timely completions of mechanical designs drawings and equipment specifications document and ensure all equipment, installation works conform to project design specifications and contracted terms and conditions
- Understanding mechanical design concepts and producing package drawings using Solidworks and supporting 2D CAD packages for a range of existing or newly innovated mechanical equipment
- Production and upkeep of engineering documentation and database files, including General Arrangement drawings (GAs), standard part libraries and equipment datasheets in company’s shared drive
- Approve engineering drawings and documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency and adherence to internal policies
- Proactively and closely interact with project team members from other disciplines to achieve an optimized/ approved design within the stipulated project schedule
- Work closely with project management team to resolve client’s concerns / requirements
- Support procurement team to review and response to vendors’ technical submissions and sign off on equipment FAT
- Resolve technical problems during design, construction and project commissioning stage
- Responsible for engineering department budget, resources, hardware, software, scheduling, priority setting and communication
- Lead, develop, train and manage engineering team to meet the demands of design engineering and delivery standard and performance
- Direct and manage external third party engineering contractors for overflow and specialty workloads.
- Builds & maintains effective relationships between the engineering team and other internal teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and report upon efficiency metrics monitoring the engineering productivity, capacity and managing future loads.
- Identify design shortcomings and recommend improvements.
- Support ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned

**Profile we are looking for**:
The position would suit a well motivated Mechanical Engineer with high level technical skills, who can be relied upon to get the details correct. The role will require a lateral thinker who enjoys the technical challenge and innovative agenda the business pursues.
- Degree or higher Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years relevant industry design engineering experience
- Experience in process plant structural, mechanical and piping design desirable
- Advanced computing proficiency, including Office-type and engineering/technical software
- Experience with designing heavy industrial equipment, structures, pressure vessels, and piping systems
- Exposure to thermal and materials handling equipment such as kilns, heaters and screw conveyors
- Familiarity and experience in the use of Solidworks and/or AutoCAD
- A developed ability to read and interpret GA drawings and PIDs for engineering equipment
- Strong technical aptitude to understand technical drawings, documents, and specification
- Strong organizational skills, clear communication (verbal & written), structured approach to manage projects, and client-oriented focus.
- Ability to interface at all levels of the organization both internally and externally
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a time sensitive environment to meet all required deadlines
