Reporting to: ASIA REGIONAL COMPANY CFO

The financial controller reports to and works closely with the CFO of Thales North South East Asia ( TNSEA,) based in Singapore. The scope covers around 12+ countries where about 180 employees are dedicated to Thales International (Thint) activities.

The job holder has 3 main responsibilities:
Drive the financial control and monitoring of Business Advisors and Key Industrial Partners. Manage the financial control of the Thint Asia budget and of TNSEA. Lead the audit & internal control in Asia.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:
**Drive the financial control and monitoring of Business Advisors and Key Industrial Partners**
- Prepare and submit to the CFO the financial due diligence memos on the Business Advisors and Key Industrial Partners as per Thales policy (known as “New World”). Report and monitor all the Show-stoppers and Risk factors during the qualification process and the follow-up action plans ;
- Adapt the finance memos formats to the stringent and changing compliance rules ;
- Participate in the Thales internal meetings with the TNSEA team and the CD / KAMs in the countries to address and solve the finance related compliance issues ;
- Meet the BA and KIP to address and solve the finance related compliance issues ;
- Design and set up dashboards to pro-actively monitor the qualification and follow-up plans of the BA and KIP ;
- Prepare and submit to the CFO and COO the approval for acceptance and payment of the BA’s invoices (C4) ;
- Supervise the billing to the Operating Units as per the contracts (milestones) and the financial data and parameters in the BAMS database ;
- Approve the payments to the BA through callbacks with the bank and interact with them for any compliance request ;
- Prepare and present all the financial analyses related to the BA and KIP requested by both the external and internal auditors ;
- Manage a person who is supporting the KIP qualification process and other horizontal issues.

In this role, the Thint Financial Controller works closely with the BA/KIP managers, legal Department, IOD, COO and CCO of the regional company and with the Country Directors and KAMs in Asia. He also interacts directly with the BA and KIP, the internal and external auditors and the bank for BA payments.

**Manage the financial Control of the Thint Asia budget and TNSEA**
- Prepare, review and aggregate the MYB for TNSEA and Thint in Asia. Prepare the Multi-Year Budget and rolling forecasts of overhead expenses (C5): planning preparation, templates of budget files, meetings with all the stakeholders, consolidation of the data at Thint Asia scope ;
- Prepare and report into Magnitude the Forecast, CBN, MYB and MB reports of TNSEA, TA & AVIMO to Thales HQ ;
- Design and set up new budgetary control formats to pro-actively monitor the actuals vs budget comparison with the Thint Asia countries ;
- Interact with the finance managers in the countries to follow-up the budgetary control;
- Manage the forecast of TNSEA consequently ;
- Prepare and review the accruals to be sent to the accounting department ;
- Review the monthly & yearly closings ;
- Review the variances vs budget and make some recommendations to optimize the costs;
- Prepare of the quarterly financial reporting (BOR) to the Paris head office. Prepare comprehensive reviews of P&L variances (vs last year and budget) ;
- Prepare and present all the financial analyses requested for the external and internal audits ;
- Monitor all the Hosting and Service agreements, from contractual phase to monthly billing, receivables and year-end reconciliation.

In this role, the Thint Financial Controller works closely with the finance managers in the countries and all the various stakeholders in the MYB process (IS IT, real estate, etc ).

- Prepare and fill-in the GDPR for all the entities in Asia ;
- Develop and deploy an internal control plan for all the non-consolidated countries of the region (both Thint and non-Thint). Set up and follow up an action plan with a spot check program ;
