Overview Financial Controller & Turnaround Specialist Are you a results-driven, highly analytical, and resilient finance leader who excels at diagnosing financial issues and implementing strategies for rapid improvement? Our clients are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a proven background in financial turnaround and business optimization to join our senior team. Our clients provide essential services and solutions to vessels worldwide and are looking for a financial architect to quickly assess current financial health, stabilize performance, and build a path toward sustained profitability and growth. Role The Financial Controller will be responsible for the entire finance and accounting function while simultaneously acting as a turnaround specialist. You will immediately audit and analyze current financial operations, identify key areas of loss and inefficiency, and drive the necessary financial and operational changes to ensure the company\'s long-term financial stability and success. This position reports directly to the Managing Director/CEO. Responsibilities Comprehensive Scope & Responsibilities – The successful candidate will own and manage all aspects of the company\'s financial health, internal controls, and statutory compliance: Financial Assessment & Turnaround Strategy: Quickly evaluate the company\'s current financial position, profitability by segment, internal controls, and operational efficiency. Develop and implement a comprehensive financial turnaround plan focused on cost reduction, working capital optimization, and revenue enhancement initiatives. Lead the restructuring of financial processes, systems, and teams to enhance transparency and accountability. Accounting & Reporting Oversight: Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, fixed assets, and payroll. Prepare and present accurate, timely, consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP standards. Provide crucial variance analysis, leading indicators, and insightful commentary to the executive team, clearly articulating the progress of the turnaround efforts. Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Aggressively manage cash flow projections and monitor daily liquidity to meet operational needs.
