**_ What you will do:_**
- We are looking for a talented Financial Controller who thrives in an international, dynamic environment. You will be part of the Finance & Operations team of ACT Solutions APAC Pte Ltd, based in Singapore._
- You will report to the Financial Director (APAC) and have active communication lines with internal stakeholders. To do that successfully, you need to be assertive and decisive, have sound technical accounting knowledge and have a service-minded attitude and an energetic personality._
- As the Financial Controller you will have accounting & reporting responsibilities for your respective business entities in the APAC region; ranging from the month-end close, preparation and processing of memo postings (or management and supervision of outsourced service providers to deliver this), control of the Balance Sheet (checks, accruals, provisions, reconciliations) and P&L, to the preparation of the financial reporting packs. You will support the Financial Director in ensuring both local GAAP (where applicable) and IFRS/SFRS compliant reporting._
- As the Financial Controller you will also work closely with the ACT Group Control and Shared Service teams based in the Netherlands. We expect you to actively contribute _in_to_ implementing and improving reporting and financial controls._
- Financial Control_
- _Ensure and monitor proper accounting concepts within end-to-end processes_
- _Analyze and review of the Balance Sheet and P&L_
- _Control balance sheet (checks, accruals, provisions, reconciliation)._
- _Ensure timely payment of vendors and receipts from customers_
- _Supervision and review of work performed by outsourced service providers_
- Financial Reporting_
- _Ensure month
- and year-end closing according to applicable deadlines_
- _Ensure reliable, timely and complete financial accounts for designated legal entities in accordance with applicable accounting principles_
- _Prepare reporting packs and assist with reporting narratives._
- _Assist with co-ordination and review of GST and tax filings prepared by service providers_
- _Assist with the preparation of any materials required to meet legal or statutory filing requirements_
- Internal control_
- _Co-develop policies and procedures within financial control, in collaboration with Group Control and SSC;_
- _Perform financial control processes and assist in improvements;_
- _Support FD and Group teams in Co-ordination and management of an efficient and effective audit process._

**_ Your profile:_**
- _University degree in Accounting or related studies;_
- _Experience with financial control and accounting;_
- _At least 4 years' experience, within a Big 4 Audit firm is a plus;_
- _Excellent communication skills in English as this is our language of business;_
- _Knowledge of and experience with IFRS and/or SFRS (firm understanding of IFRS 9 is a plus);_
- _Experience in GST_
- _Experience with process implementation and/or improvement projects would be a very strong plus;_
- _Proven ability working with different stakeholders at varying levels of seniority_
- _High attention to detail_
- _Can work independently_
- _Able to adapt to change/flexibility_
