The East Asian Institute (EAI) at the National University of Singapore is seeking a highly qualified senior researcher with a strong background in Chinese politics and governance to join our multidisciplinary team.

Position: Senior Research Fellow
Field: Chinese Politics and Governance

**Qualification**
- PhD in Political Science or related field
- 10+ years of work experience in research or any relevant areas

**About EAI**
Established in 1997, the East Asian Institute (EAI) promotes both academic and policy-oriented research on East Asian development. Our focus includes contemporary China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), and China’s economic relations with Japan, Korea, ASEAN, and the world. We collaborate with regional and international institutions, organize conferences, and provide insights that inform public policy.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Conduct in-depth research in Chinese politics and governance.
- Lead research projects and a small team.
- Contribute to EAI’s Background Briefs for a policy-maker audience.
- Engage the public through commentary, op-eds, and public lectures.
- Publish in academic journals and other reputable platforms.
