The Production Engineer plays an important role in maintaining smooth running of the production machinery and equipment, to ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) for minimisingdowntime and production costs are met. He/She is a technical expert who is able todiagnose problems with the production equipment and machines, anddetermine whether repairs can be performed internally or if respective equipment vendors must be engaged.

He possesses intimate knowledge of the production line and the equipment used, manages maintenance activities and coordinates with various equipment vendors and contractors, to ensure timely repair and maintenance of these equipment.

He works on shifts in the factory with pleasant working environment. He has keen interest in production machinery, strong communication skills, good team workand an analytical mind to ensure that all production equipment-related issues are resolved appropriately and efficiently, while complying with food safety and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Schedule routine inspections and repair and maintenance activities to minimisedowntime during active production routines
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmeson production equipment and machines
- Diagnose abnormalities on production equipment and machines, and appropriate repair activities
- Manage equipment vendors and contractors for maintenance work
- Monitor and maintain production processes and equipment performance
- Troubleshoot process inconsistencies to maintain optimum equipment performance
- Plan production capacity based on equipment specifications, current and forecasted production levels
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the production and maintenance processes as well as guidelines for maintaining equipment cleanliness and hygiene standards during maintenance work
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement projects relating to production and maintenance processes

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Working experience in food manufacturing preferred
