We are currently looking for a talented individual to join us as an Application Engineer. We are currently based at Metropolis, Buona Vista, Singapore. Responsibilities Develop, update and maintain databases, catalogue, specifications and customization for assigned projects. Monitor and support Engineering subcontractors of the project. Act as a consultant to the Structural, Piping, EICT teams; coordinate with engineering subcontractors and vendors; attend meetings; and communicate effectively to resolve database and library issues. Develop customization of 3D modelling to improve efficiency and productivity; create 3D modelling procedures and updates per project requirements. Propose improvements to 3D modelling workflows and execution methods; develop workflows for 3D modelling activities for the project. Report to the Group Lead of Engineering and Design and to the Project Product Manager and System Lead as assigned to project roles. Assist the Project Lead and Piping Engineer by generating various reports to ensure design quality. Ensure 3D models are consistent, easy to navigate and clash-free; ensure requirements are followed. Prepare and participate in design reviews with clients and engineering subcontractors at various stages of the project. Provide technical support to end-users; perform project-specific customization of the system and write macros as needed; check the quality of E3D outputs. Work closely with super users in the project for smooth 3D modelling execution; plan and conduct training for discipline designers. Manage project licenses of E3D software. Qualifications & Experience Educational Qualification : Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering. Certification(s) : Aveva E3D/PDMS course completion or training or equivalent. Relevant Experience : 5-10 years of experience in an Aveva E3D environment; proficiency with Cats/Spec and material take-off; knowledge of standard drafting techniques applicable to offshore industry.
