My client is a fintech digital wealth platform which is CMS Licensed by MAS and which deals in PE investments, securities, and collective investment schemes. They are backed by a state-owned multinational investment firm.

They are hiring a Finance Lead (Associate Director) to pioneer the finance function of their fintech setup. The role will start out as a single contributor while being supported by a finance team in the investment management arm.

**Finance Lead**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversees the finance, fund and cash operations for the management company and investment holding entities
- Finance duties include but not limited to:

- Maintain accurate financial records for the organization
- Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and ensure that they comply with accounting principles
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and ensure timely processing, recording, and payment of invoices
- Prepare management reports and analysis for management decision making
- Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare, submit and complying with MAS regulations for the licensed entity
- Coordinate and facilitate external audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with financial regulations
- Fund & Cash Operations duties include but not limited to:

- Oversee the operation management of the funds/accounts and the related monitoring and coordinating
- Collaborate closely with the investment team, investor relation team, fund administrator, custodians, and external partners to provide timely operational support for daily issues
- Evaluate service quality and contracts of external service providers to improve fund operations and protect company interests.
- Provide inputs over accounting and tax structuring for onboarding of new investments
- Work closely and coordinate with all business units and external parties, including fund administrators, banks, auditors and tax agent, to support the regular reporting deliverables and deadlines
- Participate and provide inputs in new workflow, system implementation, and project coordination
- Initiate efficiency improvements to control enhancements
- Participate in other work processes and ad-hoc tasks where required

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Accountancy/Finance/ACCA/CA Equivalent with 10-12 years of experience
- Experience working in a fintech environment is preferred
- Good understanding of SFRS(I) and private equity funds investment
- Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to dive deep on ambiguous challenges and deliver actionable insight
- Meticulous and able to work independently with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Keen learner with positive attitude, motivated, flexibility to work in a small office environment
- Aptitude in standard computer software (including PowerPoint, Excel and Words)
- Oracle experience a nice-to-have
