We are partnering with a leading, global food and beverage company who are seeking a Global VP of Import & Export to join their team.

Reporting into the Global VP of Supply Chain, you will lead the standardization and development of Import-Export activities globally.

**Responsibilities;**
- Take the helm of a cross-functional, integrated import-export organization on a worldwide scale to achieve cost reduction, net revenue expansion, service excellence, and sustainability objectives.
- Create a worldwide import-export strategy, vision, and roadmap that results in a strong program.
- Drive cost transformation to raise productivity from import-export and create thorough plans for future development.
- Responsibilities include working directly with the global procurement, supply chain, and finance units to secure ocean capacity for all global sectors supporting all import-export goods at the best possible prices.
- Ensure operational continuity for the various sectors by defining the import and export shipments according to the correct international logistic strategy in order to have the best delivery and transportation times and to ensure the lowest prices.
- Deliver cost savings and reductions by choosing the best global logístical routes, modes of transportation, customs borders, carriers, and brokers, as well as lowering demurrages, delays, and storages.
- Examine all import
- and export-related activities globally to find potential opportunities for optimizing ocean freight as well as the effects of compliance with trade and customs regulations on risk of government inspections. To minimize risks and close potential consequences, manage and assist FDA, government, and financial audits as needed by supplying documentation and confirmation of import procedures.
- Ensure proper and efficient management of international trade compliance, minimizing operational, financial, and administrative impacts and risks that may result from interactions between governmental institutions, such as the Treasury Department, health and phytosanitary authorities, and customs authorities.
- Develop an Import-Export organization's near
- and long-term data and technology enablement plan in collaboration with various industries and IT operations, then put it into practice around the world.

**Skills Required;**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or relevant degree
- 10-15 years of experience in operations, transportation, or customs & trade is essential (ocean, air, international logistics is desirable)
- Knowledge of IT platforms and tools, including development, design, configuration, and implementation
- Experience as a program lead developing a strategy and deploying it across an organization
- Proficient in Lean Six Sigma and/or Agile methodologies
- Proven experience managing large scale projects
