Transportation Analyst

Overview:
The main responsibilities of the Transportation Analyst are:

- Perform Transportation Analysis in terms of network and cost
- Study overall Transportation cost and support cost reduction initiatives
- Logistics KPI in the area of Transportation cost / Local purchase management
- Audit Freight cost for the Singapore Distribution Center (for both the APAC and SEA regions)
- Local purchase management for the DC and Office
- OTC Management for SG DC Operations - to ship products globally
- SAP SME (Order to Cash) - Trainer & back up to the OTC Operation for the APDC Operations

**Responsibilities**:
Freight Management
- Logistics / Traffic liaison to Shared Services, GSC teams (Distribution, Logistics, Trade Compliance, Procurement, Project / Strategic Management and Manufacturing Operations) and other external Service Providers
- Assist with developing Project Plans and workflow including executions through completion of strategic initiative assigned by Management
- Assist Manager with managing key service providers business review meetings and establishing acceptable performance expectation results
- Assist with managing, monitoring and reporting for freight claims including proper training
- Assist with managing freight accrual process per requirements / procedures
- Adhere to, and maintain, all regulatory compliance requirements (ie. SOX, ISO, etc) in completing assignments.

Finance
- Reviews and audits inbound and outbound freight invoices for proper Rules and Coding including on-time payment through 3rd party freight audit and payment supplier. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly escalating when necessary
- Maintain logistics and transportation financial and operational reports to support Global Supply Chain Management activities and improvement opportunities

Local/Indirect Purchase
- Generate Purchase Requisition and purchase orders in SAP and Baan
- Project Buyer for Logistics Related initiatives

SAP SME / OTC Operations
- Manage the Global Intercompany (Interco) Queue to ensure issues with EDI and Manual Orders are resolved
- Review daily reports in SAP and coordinate with the distribution centers (DC) to ensure product is shipped on schedule or notify supply planner of inventory deficiencies.
- Works with Supply Planners and Product Managers to ensure STOs are executed per plan or adjusted to meet fluctuating demand.
- Interacts with LEX, Manufacturing, Planning and Interco to balance supply and demand, and product allocation when necessary
- Provide support and resolution for Interco export transactions to include or exclude products with hazardous ingredients.
- Works with Finance to resolve credit holds which impact product shipment.
- Reviews, modifies and approves STO requests entered into SAP by international DC locations.
- Balances product allocation requests between sales orders and STOs to avoid inventory shortages.
- Reviews sales orders for SAP and Non SAP customers and intercompany
- Monitors and ensures the integrity and accuracy for relevant master data maintained in SAP to support orders and STOs
- Implements process improvements to increase efficiency of the desk
- Performs data validation as part of all SAP releases and system enhancements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in logistics and/or traffic management environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in transport operation, controlling costs and operations. Ability to look for operational improvements.
- Life Science, Clinical Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry experience
- Computer skills including Microsoft office tools-Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- ERP system experience required, SAP desirable
- Professional and effective verbal and written business communication skills, required.(English)
