Claims Operation Support

**Purpose of the role**:
You will have the opportunity to work in a world-class organisation where you will provide claims operational support and services to Canopius clients and be able to “to continually push the boundaries of customer excellence through an empowered, collaborative and innovative approach to claims; to be the envy of the market”, always demonstrating and upholding the Canopius claims values.
- To proactively manage all claims’ initial notification and follow up with both internal and external stakeholders in accordance with the Canopius Claims Manual, ensuring regulatory requirements are met, and that controls are operating effectively by achieving KPIs.
- To ensure effective oversight and collaboration with any outsource partners, including Shared Services Team - Offshore (SST).
- To flag any issues of concern to Claims Manager.
**Main Responsibilities**:
To assist in information exchange with Underwriters, including:
- Seeking underwriters’ advice for correct policy or insured.
- Checking the correct declaration year.
- Reconciling claims data provided by underwriters.
- Discussing with the underwriters on claims issues.
- Compiling claims statistics (if required).
To collaborate with Shared Service Team - Offshore (SST) and internal stakeholders on the knowledge-based administrative tasks, including:
- Managing and advising SST on all claims related queries and triage tasks.
- Reviewing of claim tasks for correct allocation to handling adjusters.
- Ensuring SST has not missed out on claims registration and payment within timeline.
- Ensuring SST updates inhouse systems with accurate claims documentation.
- Performing periodic quality checks on the work performed by SST.
To partner with the Finance function on related task, such as:
- Booking of payment/reversal/recovery entries to inhouse system
- Advising Finance if there are issues on reconciliation, foreign exchange, and payment.
