Senior Director of Accounting

Job Posting Title Senior Director of Accounting - Remote **Job Description**: The Senior Director of Accounting is responsible for all aspects of Prime’s financial accounting operations including general ledger, monthly close, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, the accounting aspect of rebate and claims processing and all related accounting and control activities to support these areas. This is a key leadership position for the accounting organization reporting directly to the Corporate Controller with exposure to the CFO and other key senior executive leaders. **Responsibilities**: - Direct the monthly accounting close, ensuring the close is completed accurately and on-time - Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a system of internal controls and accounting processes that support financial reporting in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP - Proactively partner with other areas of Prime to ensure strategic changes within Prime’s business (e.g. new products, customer programs, etc.) are supported and accounting impacts addressed - Lead a team of professionals in the execution of all aspects of the accounting operations, ensuring team member development and engagement - Oversee and support the financial statement and other external and internal audits to ensure deadlines are met and successful outcomes are achieved - Provide experienced financial insights and influence that lead to management action - Lead a department and team that is customer service oriented, a partner to the business, and with an infrastructure that will support significant growth, meet or exceed client expectations and manage the costs of the services being provided - Direct the delivery of activities related to process and system improvement, system implementation and automation projects related to accounting operations on budget and on time - Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience; HS diploma or GED is required - 10 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance - 7 years of management/people leadership experience - Must be able to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship Additional Qualifications - Exceptionally strong analytical skills - Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications - CPA is strongly desired - MBA and/or CMA - 5 years of public accounting and experience leading an accounting department - Previous management/leadership experience, in a high growth environment - Proven experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders and senior executive leaders, with an ability to influence for greater outcomes - Proven leadership ability to oversee the build and management of an effective, high performing team Minimum Physical Job Requirements - Ability to travel up to 10% of the time - Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear - Frequently required to reach with hands and arms - Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch - Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Reporting Structure - Reports to a Vice President in the Finance department Potential pay for this position ranges from $138,400.00 - $221,200.00 based on location, experience and skills. - To review our Benefits, Incentives and Additional Compensation, visit our - Benefits Page - and click on the "Benefits at a glance" button for more detail.
