We're looking for an experienced and motivated senior manager to support, influence and expand our submarine cable investments for the future growth of Microsoft fast-paced production environment—you must be agile, have financial acuman and able to analyse strategically while adapting to changing conditions and priorities.

**Responsibilities**:

- High energy individual to manage stakeholders charged with designing and investing in critical network infrastructure that enable one of the world’s largest cloud & AI services.
- Positive can do attitude working attitude, growth mindset, always willing to learn & adapt, raise the bar for cultural change, able to grow, lead and retain high performing talent.
- Subsea cable investment analysis and related industry experiences to support mega construction projects.
- Knowledge of subsea investment and able to collaborate with investment team to identify opportunities to convert lease to long term owned assets to drive efficiency and growth.
- Be able to access financial, geopolitical risks, compliance standards, changes in regulatory associated with cable investments.
- Lead project initiatives for Microsoft Cloud Interconnection & Acquisitions team to improve efficiency and quality in the subsea projects that you manage.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and define strategic initiatives to meet expansion and cost reduction needs.
- Build strategic relationships with vendors, partners, and industry experts.
- Communicate progress, risk involved and collaborate with network deployment teams.

Partner and ensure contracting compliance with service suppliers, legal team, and physical security teams for continuous and consistent rigor with regard to ensuring appropriate terms and conditions based on service type

**Qualifications**:
Required Qualifications:

- BS or BA degree (In lieu of degree, 10 years relevant work experience)
- Industry experience with regard to Network infrastructure investment / planning and construction
- 5+ years of experience in submarine cable related networking technologies and deployments
- Good knowledge and experience in submarine cable systems
- Ability to collaborate with cross function teams and partners on potential cable projects

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 10 years of experience in Network Sourcing and Subsea Investment & Construction.
- Solid working understanding of domestic and global carrier networks and submarine cable systems
- Depth of experience presenting/communicating to executives and c-suite leadership
- Great problem solving, strategic thinking and technical skills.
- Business Acumen demonstrated through prior work or education
- Self-driven and ability to work with mínimal direction
- Technical experience with databases, data integration and data access technologies
- Experience with a data driven/metrics-driven mindset and the ability to experiment, learn and improve
