Since opening its doors in 2008, Ubisoft Singapore has become the biggest AAA game development studio in Southeast Asia. The 500-strong studio is home to 35+ different nationalities focused on delivering ambitious gaming experiences to our players. Ubisoft Singapore has been contributing to all the Assassin’s Creed® titles since Assassin’s Creed® II. It innovated within the franchise as the studio behind the naval battle gameplay and water technology in Assassin’s Creed® III, Assassin’s Creed® IV Black Flag® and most recently in Assassin’s Creed® Valhalla. Its expertise in AAA and live operations, combined with a passion for naval gameplay, pushed the team to lead the development of Skull and Bones revealed at E3 in 2017.
Job Description**
YOUR DAILY ADVENTURE**
Reporting to our Studio Operations Director, you leverage internal and external communication to reinforce our studio as a premier creator of video games in SEA.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
Define communication strategy for the Studio, internally and externally:
- In line with Ubisoft and studio strategies, build the long term and annual communication plans.
- Understand our industry stakes to position our studio at an outstanding situation in a highly competitive environment.
- Innovate to increasingly engage our teams and our fans.
- Anticipate and develop internal and external visibility to maximize engagement.
- Ensure the development of a strong employer brand for the studio.
- Analyze and anticipate communication issues/needs and recommend the best strategies.
- Adapt plans regularly to reflect new trends and cope with events.
Execute the strategy:
- Deliver effective communication campaigns.
- Create engagement opportunities with the external community to build our employer brand (e.g. with university students).
- Engage our teams with our studio pillars, values and cultures.
- Provide support for the life of the studio: fun moments, events, etc.
- Drive exciting and fun internal events to support our team’s culture and engagement.
- Coordinate requests for announcements or press releases.
- Propose and follow visibility opportunities: internal social network, internal newsletters, etc.
- Assist speakers in public-facing opportunities: preparation, rehearsal, media training.
- Oversee public and media relations activities, acting as a spokesperson or representative for the organization as needed.
- Sustain relationships with local public authorities.
- Ensure optimal strategic intelligence: media, social media, industry and socio-political environment.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, other departments and project leadership teams.
- Ensure the proper deployment, optimization and outreach of all our community involvement and social responsibility initiatives.
- Analyze results and adapt accordingly.
Lead the team:
- Guide the team in the definition of the main lines of communication and the development of effective messages.
- Transmit your passion for building engagement to Communications team members.
- Ensure close collaboration work and work transversally with other studio teams.
- Ensure that all team members are in the best position to reach their full potential.
- Ensure the overall talent, financial and material management of the communications department.
Qualifications**
WHAT YOU BRING**
- Passion for creating excitement among teams, players, public.
- Documented experience from leading successful internal and external communication projects, including events.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of communications, community and public relations activities.
- Demonstrated successful experience of writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
- Passion and ability to manage a team.
- Demonstrate positive leadership and initiative.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge, understanding and passion for videogames industry and/or for the techno-creative industry is a plus.
