**Department/Role Description**:
Our Account Development Team fuels the revenue engine for MuleSoft. Our Account Development team identifies and progresses new opportunities with a best-in-class software sales team through collaborative account planning and engagement with C-Level and Executive customers in Fortune 100 companies.
Your responsibility as a Director (Second Line Leader) is to inspire, lead and build teams within the Asia region to generate the sales pipeline needed to scale. Taking ownership of pipeline generation and its progression through the sales cycle, your ability to partner with Sales and the supporting functions, including Marketing, Partner Management, Customer Success, Sales Strategy, Enablement and Programs, will define your success. You will be a critical contributor to the corporate sales strategy, providing the definition and implementation of the plan for Sales to achieve the sub-regions objectives.
**Your Impact**:
- Responsible for the Pipeline Generation strategy and execution
- Develop and coach Account Development Leaders
- Inspire, influence and foster a high-performance team culture, emphasizing employee development and career growth
- Trusted advisor on all sales activity, strategy & forecasting to senior Sales Leadership
- Motivate individuals and your broader team to exceed their individual and collective objectives
- Identify, develop and implement recommendations for improvement in the areas of pipeline management and team productivity using data and analytics
**Minimum Requirements**:
- 5+ years of experience in sales/business development and 4+ years of management experience
- Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).
**Preferred Requirements**:
- Proven experience successfully leading/motivating teams to achieve performance goals
- Experience with Salesforce CRM; able to quickly pull data and identify trends in the data.
- Proven ability to analyze and synthesize sales data to optimize sales funnel
- Consistent proven track record of overachievement of quota expectations
- Strong experience in cross-functional alignment
- Successful track record in a high-volume transaction sales environment
- Outstanding communication, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
